20th November 2020 saw St Helens and District come together virtually to celebrate the young people of St Helens that have achieved their Chief Scout’s awards over the last year. The Chief Scout’s bronze, silver, gold, diamond and platinum awards are the top awards that a young person can achieve during their time in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.
They are a culmination of a young person’s time in their section and a recognition of their commitment to developing and challenging themselves in new ways, spending time in new places, meeting new people and developing their communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
It is brilliant to see so many young people achieving their top awards in St Helens, especially in the face of what has been an extremely tough year for us all.
